EU foreign policy director hails Azerbaijan for inking peace deal with Armenia

The discussion also covered Azerbaijan-EU relations and broader regional and international security matters. On Monday, Azerbaijan and Armenia released the text of the peace deal they initialed on Friday during the Washington summit attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, US President Donald Trump, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The agreement confirms mutual border recognition, renounces territorial claims, prohibits third-party forces along the border, and establishes a framework for diplomatic relations and legal dispute resolution.
